McKenzie 1 Month September 2015

The first Night home after being in the hospital was surreal. 3 days at a hospital is a long time. The first night McKenzie woke up EVERY 2 hours on the dot. We fed her a bottle cuddled her and put her back to sleep in her snuggle nest. The next few days she slept ate cried and basically was mellow. She has a different cry for eating that is her snort piggy cry that's how Dax was. Her cry is ALL her own. She sounds like a dying tertatakle. That is what John says anyway. The first few days she slept happily in her snuggle nest between John and I. The next few days and week she slept in her bassinet. By week 3 she was happily sleeping in her crib. I was really apprehensive because of SIDS and Dax was not in his crib until 6 weeks old. She still woke up every 2 to 3 hours and we fed her 2 ounces. To say we were completely sleep deprived the whole first month was a understatement. She is a LOUD eater and sucks super loud and thoroughly enjoys her bottle. McKenzie hates the bath and screams the whole time. She loves quivering her bottom lip when she cries it is seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. I love it.

                                                          - Staring at you ALL the time
                                                          - Cuddle Bug
                                                          - Loves the car
                                                          - Looking at ceiling fans
                                                           -Lifting her head

I was so nervous going from 1 to 2. Especially since there is a 3 year gap between Daxton and McKenzie. I wasn't sure I could love her like I loved Dax. I had always longed for a daughter for so many reasons. My parents divorced when I was 9 and my Dad had raised me from 9years old to 16. I can't even express my love for my beautiful sweet daughter. She's the new apple of our eye. It's very different having a girl since we have a boy but it is fun in so many different ways. Dax loves saying good morning princess. Did you have good dreams? It is adorable. He loves playing with her giving her kisses. I love how little she is and is so snuggly and cuddly. It is so surreal having a little girl. She drinks 2 ounces every 2 hrs. She is our little Miss Piggy and loves snorting when she is mad and hungry. She LOVES sleep. What newborn doesn't right? We love you sweet McKenzie thank you for joining our eternal family. We wouldn't have it any other way. Happy O N E month time is already going to fast.
