McKenzie First Halloween 2015

This was McKenzie first Halloween. We we're excited all day. We decided to finally carve our pumpkins in the morning John Daxtons and McKenzie we're perfect. Mine was well disgusting. Daxton did not want to touch the inside of the pumpkin at all. John did all the pumpkin carving (of course) and getting all the stuff out of the pumpkin. For some reason mine was sick so we threw it away. Ha. John carved everyone's. We took some silly cute pictures. After we went to Costco to buy all the food for McKenzie blessing since we we're blessing her the next day on Sunday November 1st. After we hung out Dax wanted to get into his costume so bad. But of course I made him wait. We got their pumpkin Halloween bowls out. Dax loved playing with it. Once it was 5pm we decided to get the kids in their costumes. John and I got ready and we headed out around 5:30. The sun was still out. John was a Steelers fan and I non intentional was a Cowgirl. We started around our neighborhood and slowly made our way to our Bishops house which is the furthest house (walking distance) we went to.We we're out for an hour and went to only our ward members houses and people that we knew. It was a lot of fun. The kids we're really good in the stroller. It was great weather too. By the time we we're done it was dark and we we're all ready to go home. The next day was McKenzie Blessing day so we we're anxious to get home. We got home and we watched Hocus Pocus and John passed out candy it was a fun night. McKenzie was the cutest little Kitty. I love creating memories with my little family. McKenzie was such a good girl in the stroller and stayed nice and warm.

McKenzie 2 months October 2015

McKenzie is 2 months old. No way! That went by way to fast! She is the apple of our eye and we love having a Little Girl in our family. She is getting "bigger",To me she is still looking like a cute tiny newborn and has the craziest cry, John calls her Gremlin or Teratakle. At 5 weeks old we decided to go on our first family outing as a family of four, We went to the target shopped and then stopped at the mall and shopped a little more and grabbed Coldstone after. McKenzie was a dream. It was fun to finally get out even though I was rocking my sweat pants, She is starting to Smile and Coo and like baths, She is sleeping 5+ hours a night which is RELIEVING all on its own. The first month was so rough only getting 2 to 3 hours of sleep. She is still in Newborn clothes and she hates the bath, She screams every time. Daxton loves playing with her and cuddling her. She has been sleeping in her crib since 3 weeks old. I was a little apprehensive at first and she did great. She slept in her snuggle nest for the first few days then went to the bassinet and then her crib. She still slept most of the day and and got up at night every 5 hours. Daxton was such a good helper. It was so fun to see how helpful he was with her. She likes her carseat and going for rides in the car, We went on our first adventure Mommy Dax and Kenz. We went to Costco and to the grocery store, The kids did great, It was a little overwhelming but we all did great. McKenzie still has cradle cap and baby acne. When she cries she gets extremely red and splotchy. She is our fair skinned beauty. She is a total Mommas girl. It is so cute. She eats every 2 to 3 hours. We decided to give her 3 ounces around 2.5 months and it has made a world of a difference. She is sleeping 5 hours at a time now instead of 2 to 3 hours. She loves sleeping in her snuggle nest on the couch. She is very calm when she isn't hungry but when we are in the car and she is hungry or needs to be changed it is crazy Gremlin cry. I LOVE dressing her up she is my little dolly. She loves snuggling.  We love her to pieces and love watching her grow. We had her 2 month check up October 30th the day before Halloween. We we're excited to see Dr Cox again. She cried getting her shots and he couldn't believe how big she was since her 2 week check up. We laughed because her stats are bigger than Dax as his age. She was 10 pds 4 oz 16th percentile and 22.25 length 29th percentile and 15.3 65th percentile her head is getting smaller. We told Dr Cox that she is so sweet and being a great newborn waking up every 3 hours. He said that she is right on track and looks healthy. We love Dr Cox. Excited for next month.

Ward Halloween Carnival and a Halloween Party October 2015

Our ward Halloween Carnival was a week before Halloween. We decided to go last minute. We weren't going to go only because McKenzie was still a newborn and I didn't want her getting sick or having everyone touch her and hold her. She was exactly two months old the day that we had the Halloween party. We only let a few people hold her and everyone thought she was so adorable and cute and little. It was actually really fun to get out of the house for a little bit and visit with friends from church. The year prior we had made a Rice Krispie bundt cake with Reese's Pieces and candy corn that I found on Pinterest well that was a big hit and while John was setting up the chairs they requested that we make that again so we made 2. Low and behold they were both gone within the first 5 minutes of the party. Luckily we were able to grab a few pieces of it and enjoyed ourselves ,so next year we will probably make 3 or 4. We had yummy soups and talked with her friends and Dax was able to go play Halloween games and have fun and run around with a bunch of kids it was a really fun night. After we Redbox Tomorrowland but I fell asleep through it then we went to bed it was a Fun night.

6 Week Check Up from hell and so it continues on October 2015

I had a faint idea that my 6 week check up would not be like how my 6 week check up was after I had Daxton. At 4 weeks I was in a lot of pain. Not anything like this, I went in at 4 weeks and saw one of the On call OBS. He assisted in Daxtons C Section. Dr Melendez. He said that all of my pain was from the C Section itself. I went home and took ib proufen. Nothing helped. At my 6 week check up I finally realized why I would ALWAYS hurt when I held McKenzie on my side. I was planning on getting my IUD in and that did not happen. My Incision was infected, It was red and hurt and looked disgusting, My OB asked what hurt my my Incision or my Uterus, I said both as I was crying in pain. He said no IUD today and put me on an antibiotic called Augmentation.H e told me to come back in a month. He loved seeing the kids and seeing how big McKenzie has gotten. I was HOPING the antibiotic would do the charm. Little did I know this would be 8 months of pure HELL. to be continued

Weddings a Steeler Football game and a road trip to Cali October 2015

We had a busy October. The weekend of the 10th was crazy. Saturday October 10th we had 2 weddings. One in Provo for my best friend Megan. It was a hot sunny October day. McKenzie wore her only summer newborn dress. It was adorable. It was a bright fun Wedding. An outside wedding. The ceremony was beautiful all my friends from Summerwood. Elise Hannah and Court. Everyone was excited to see McKenzie. The reception was fun and relaxing. Brick oven catered it. Sodalicious  catered it too. Cake and Ice cream. We had to leave early because we had another wedding to go to. So off we went left Provo on to South Weber for John's cousin wedding Shalese. The drive was good. The kids slept and it was a backyard wedding at 4pm. Perfect timing and weather. Brandon her brother affiliated the ceremony. It was beautiful. After we visited with family and ate chicken salad sandwiches veggies fruits and Cake. We had to leave soon after so that we could go back down to Santaquin.

We changed into comfys loaded the car filled up at Chevron and I drove us to Beaver. We stopped for dinner and ate at Wendy's. And of course fed McKenzie. After John drove the rest of the way. Well the road trip took a turn for the worse. The kids both had it and started screaming. Poor Dax growing pains started up. But we had been driving from 10am on. We felt so bad for the kids. We finally got to hurricane around 11pm we stopped at Wal-Mart and bought Dax some growing pain medicine. Then made it to my in-laws. Brought our stuff in and went to bed. What a long day.

The next morning we drove to Las Vegas. It was a quick visit. We visited and then was back on the road. We stopped at Jack in the box and stopped for gas. Another 5 hours we finally made it to Joe's. I was so happy my mom and Joe and his cute family could finally meet 6 week old McKenzie. When we got there Dax was so excited to get out of the car and run around and play with Paulo and Nicolette. After we got there Tammy announced she was pregnant with baby #3 due in February. I wasn't surprised and I guessed boy John hissed girl. We got settled and decided to go to the park. It was really fun. A huge big park. We played frisbee took picts had the kids play on the swings sandbox an slides. After went to the store and grabbed stuff for dinner. We had spaghetti salad bread. My mom and I made dinner together it was fun. After Tammy made brownies with the boys. Paulo and Dax helped it was cute.  That night we hung out watched some TV and talked.

The next day was Game Day. John and I were so excited. We got ready and left by noon. Before we left I cleaned The kitchen and swept the floors. We met our friends at Cheesecake Factory for lunch it was an outdoor mall. I loved it. We saw so many steeper fans. It was awesome. After lunch we walked down to their hotel. It was nice very older and beachy I loved it. It was nice to sit down and relax. After an hour or so we left and walked down to the trolley. We saw all the other Steeper and Charger fans. It was hot especially for October and we'll in California. It was so surreal being in a Football stadium. It was something we both crossed off our bucket list and do together. We were so happy. We took pictures and looked down on the field. The game was incredible. We sat by mostly Steelers fans of was awesome. They are very loyal fun and loud we loved It. The Steelers won the game. We cheered so loud. It was such a great moment. After we got back on the trolley and John grabbed our car in the parking garage and we stopped at Jack in the box for a late dinner. We decided not to eat at the stadium. We grabbed my mom some food and asked Tammy if they wanted anything  for watching Dax and McKenzie. We hung out talked about the game.

The next morning we left it was bittersweet. We were stuck in traffic. We stopped in Bakersfield at Ihop. Dax wanted funny face pancakes fun to have breakfast for lunch. After we drove to to Vegas and stopped at my parents. We had pizza and hung out out for a few hours. We got I'm the road around 7pm and drove to St George. We were so tired. We hung out a bit and went to bed. We left the next morning and drove home. We were home in the early afternoon. Such a fun trip. McKenzie slept great for being such a long story trip in the car. I did laundry unpacked and we relaxed the rest of the night.
